Chit Chat for fun

They are Addi needles and she got the set for $120.

She likes them very much. Apparently I bought them as a gift for her. (She bought them for me to give her as a gift from me)

That’s a German brand. Nice quality.

Addi is one of the best. Another brand is Chiao Goo.

The moment she knits me a sweater with them I will call it “mein kampfy sweater”.

The skies cleared today and we had a lovely gathering around a campfire. It was nice.

I’ve been working on finishing a blanket that I will give to a friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer. It has been a fun knit.

The weather for our BC trip is looking promising. Mostly sunny and hovering near freezing. Hoping for 5 days on the mountains.

Happy Easter!

Indeed, happy easter.

Zach and Claire completed an egg hunt this morning. Zach still professes a belief in the Easter Bunny in grade 3. Claire worked out Santa Claus in grade 1. I know which of my kids is more likely to vote for Trump.

That’s cute. My granddaughter said to me when she was three, “Thanks for the Easter egg hunt, Nana.” She was onto me.

Now at the age of 7 she is still acting like she believes in the Bunny. Who knows? It could be different in her own house.

Zach is a more typical child in that way. He may be quietly questioning. He may also be smart enough to keep letting his parents think he believes because our benefits him.

We enjoyed two campfires yesterday. It was nice.

We skied. It was…marginal.

They closed this run. I could have made it down.

BTW, Tron wants their glasses back.

I’ve been reading more serious books lately: Conman by Maggie Haberman, Tim Alberta’s book about how and why evangelicals are enamoured by trump, and 1984. I’m now reading a lovely book with C.S. Lewis and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" as core parts of the book. It’s a very enjoyable and light read so far.

We’ve had campfires with friends two afternoons in a row. No complaints about that.

I’ve got to get back to reading more. This summer, hopefully.
